As per the most recent survey, Canada’s employment experienced a significant increase in January 2025, following a 0.4% rise in December and a 0.2% increase in November 2024. The employment rate for Canadian youth aged 15 to 24 reached 61.1%.
In terms of year-over-year statistics, the number of employed individuals in the private sector grew by 215,000. Notably, sectors such as manufacturing and professional, scientific, and technical services recorded the highest employment gains as of January 2025.
