An Express Entry draw is the method employed by Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to choose profiles from the Express Entry pool and extend invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
During an Express Section draw, IRCC chooses candidates from the Express Passage pool based on their Comprehensive Positioning Framework (CRS) score and other variables, such as work involvement or dialect capability. People who meet or outperform the CRS score cut-off set up for that draw get Solicitations to Apply (ITAs) for changeless residency.
The CRS score for Express Entry continues to be elevated in 2024 for various reasons:
To begin with, the category-based draws conducted this year have resulted in a substantial number of invitations being issued, thereby keeping the CRS cut offs at a high level.
Additionally, the presence of a large population of temporary residents in Canada, a significant portion of whom qualify for Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP), has added to the competitiveness of the system. Furthermore, Canada\’s status as a preferred destination for immigrants has led to a surge in demand for Express Entry. This is evident from the candidate pool outcomes, which reflect the strong interest in the program.
