Express Entry Draw 305 for French Draw on July 18, 2024.

Express

The third draw of the week was conducted by IRCC on July 18, 2024. A total of 1,800 French-speaking candidates with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 400 or above will be issued invitations to apply for Express Entry in this category-specific draw.

  • Draw type: Proficiency in the French language — Category-specific
  • Number of invitations sent: 1,800
  • Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score: 400
  • Tie-breaker date: March 8, 2024.

IRCC has significantly increased its invitation numbers in July after a slow period in May and June.

  • The later French draw is the moment one this month and the third one this week.
  • A total of 9,491 invitations were issued this week and 19,161 this month, making July the month with the highest number of invitations in 2024.
  • There is a possibility of more draws later this month if IRCC maintains its biweekly schedule.
  • French draws have been the most prominent in terms of category-based draws, with six language proficiency draws this year compared to two healthcare draws and one draw each for Agriculture, trades, transport, and STEM categories.

The draws in July 2024 incorporate a French draw welcoming 1,800 candidates, a Canadian Involvement Course draw welcoming 6,300 candidates, a Common Chosen one Program draw welcoming 1,391 candidates, and Considering this is the second French draw of the month, the CRS results are quite unexpected. On July 8, 3,200 French-speaking candidates with a score of 420 or above were invited to apply. However, in this recent draw, only 1,800 candidates with a CRS of 400 or higher received invitations. This indicates a substantial pool of French-speaking candidates available for selection at present.

It is also important to highlight that a total of 17,400 invitations have been issued to French speakers so far. This accounts for approximately 28% of all invitations extended, showcasing IRCC\’s objective to allocate around 30% of ITAs through this category by 2024.
