The General Skilled Migration program for South Australia for the years 2024-2025 has officially commenced.

The Onshore Stream:

Eligible applicants currently residing in Australia can now submit a Registration of Interest (ROI) if they meet the necessary requirements for the onshore streams. A total of 464 occupations are available for consideration. ROIs will be evaluated throughout the year, and successful candidates will receive invitations to apply for state nomination through one of the following categories:

• Skilled Employment in South Australia stream: Designed for individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to South Australia and possess relevant work experience in their skilled occupation within the state.
• South Australian Graduates stream: Aimed at retaining individuals who have completed their studies and gained work experience in South Australia in their respective skilled occupations.
• External Territorial Talented Work stream: Centered on tending to expertise deficiencies in the external territorial regions of South Australia, this stream permits candidates working in these locales in their nominated or closely related occupations to apply.

The Offshore Stream:

Individuals residing outside of Australia who possess in-demand skills for South Australia will be evaluated based on their Skill Select Expression of Interest (EOI). Successful candidates will receive an invitation to apply for nomination from South Australia. This stream offers opportunities for experienced international workers across 427 occupations.

South Australia anticipates conducting seaward welcome rounds reliably all through the program year, beginning from the program\’s dispatch and proceeding after each month starting in September 2024. Prospective applicants are advised to keep their EOI current and ensure that South Australia is designated as their primary state of interest.

The Business Innovation and Investment Program:

Right now, South Australia is not tolerating applications for state assignment for the Commerce Development and Venture (Temporary) visa (subclass 188). Individuals who are business or investor migrants and already possess a provisional visa (subclass 188) may apply for nomination under the extension stream or for a permanent visa (subclass 888), provided they fulfill the necessary criteria.
